If you’re planning over moving countries over something such as gay marriage becoming legalized, make sure the country you want to move to hasn’t already legalized it (for ten years). This is why it’s hilarious having an American roommate.

I don’t post on FB much, but I do stalk a lot. I’m EXTREMELY surprised that I haven’t seen ANYONE post anything like this on my timeline. I have friends on all corners of the political spectrum, and am genuinely shocked no one has been losing their shit about this. It’s all been sunshine and rainbows (literally).

I logged on about an hour after the announcement and only saw positive stuff. I’m sure there are plenty who aren’t happy but either my timeline didn’t let it through or it isn’t on yet.

I also found out someone on there was gay. Haven’t seen him in years and it didn’t appear to be a secret till now. I just saw him and his partner celebrating.

FB can be good sometimes.

Hah, I think I spoke too soon. Over the weekend I started seeing all the “Hate the sin but love the sinner... but no, really, I actually hate gays and they’re all going to hell” type posts. It was from all the people I expected it to come from, but I’m actually still quite surprised their responses were extremely late and very mundane. I figured my newsfeed would look like a battle ground and it really didn’t.
